About the Program
The Adair County Ambulance District (ACAD) proudly serves our community and surrounding areas through our Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) Department. Working alongside the Northeast Missouri Health Council and other trusted local providers, we bring healthcare closer to home— supporting the well-being and quality of life of our neighbors. The NEMO-MIH program delivers in-home care by working hand-in-hand with your primary care provider. This allows our team to reach patients in their homes when they may not have the ability to get out, ensuring they still receive the care they need.

The goal of the program is to work alongside of the patient’s primary care physician to provide quality care for the whole patient at the right place and the right time.
While the program is not intended to replace regular clinic visits, the program would be used as an addition to your healthcare team and provide medical care in a location most appropriate for the patient.
Our Mission
As mobile integrated healthcare, also known as Community Paramedicine, our mission is to provide healthcare to patients via mobile resources in the out-of-hospital environment. Adair County Ambulance District’s mission is to provide exceptional healthcare evaluations and to assist patients to improve quality of their life and betterment of their health
Eligibility Requirements
- Have a primary Care provider or we can assist you with finding one
- Require assistance with managing healthcare needs
- Have the ability to make decisions in the own care OR have a caregiver who is present during visits
- Would benefit from medical interventions that are aimed at acute conditions or exacerbations of a chronic condition.
